Hi, I'm Nada , but some people call me Joce and I prefer it. I'm a huge harry potter fan, a book nerd, and a physics geek. I lived in the US until last July (2010), when I moved to Egypt, my parents' home country.

I'm currently working on a fantasy novel, still working on title either Reject or Chaos.

I listen to rock, gothic, and sympathetic music. Books I like: The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld, The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins, Peeps by Scott Westerfeld, Harry Potter, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman, The Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong. I like drafting, 3D animation, physics, and volleyball.

Nice to meet you Joce Smile

Another Harry Potter fan? Yippee! HP7 was by far my favourite book and movie. What about you?

How's your first year in Egypt? I know what it's like moving from one completely different country to another because I moved from Dubai (back) to London when I was 7. My first year felt pretty weird because I was only 2 when I moved to Dubai.

What's your novel about? Those two titles sound pretty interesting when they're next to each other - lots of images come to my head when Reject and Chaos are next to each other.

Again, nice to meet you, and thank you for creating the critique group!

Physics, huh? I hate it. Blame it on my professor. Next time I get stuck on something, I'll ask you Wink

I'm planning on reading The Hunger Games. I heard that it's really good.

Don't thank me, I'm glad to find someone else to read my writing, and exchange the favor. lol!

I can't really decide, I like them all equally, and can't wait to watch HP7.

It was alright, besides flunking Arabic. Thank God, first years don't have to pass it.

As for the novel, you'll have to read to find about. lol!

Arabic is so hard... don't worry. Grammar + bom = no more grammar + me being happy.

Yup, but I think I didn't do half-bad, at least I hit the 15% mark which is required of second years. But ditto, yeah Arabic grammar makes no sense. Even through Arabic is my first language, English's my dominant language.

Really? At my school, first years are required to get 0% (yeah, none), second years 15%, third years are judged normally, I think. But if you're in IGSCE, the international version of GSCE (which is British) or American, you don't have to get anything. Although, we're still examined, unfortunately, which I'm pretty sure is just to give the school something to show off to parents. Oh and I'm in IGSCE, so it doesn't really make a difference.

I think I still might have to do it because I have dual nationality - I've got an Egyptian and British passport. Apparently that exempts me from Military and I still am Egyptian, so I'm cool with that Very Happy

I think I've got the hang of basic Arabic grammar, it's just the not-so-basic...
