    Short Stories (5,000-7,000)
    Novella (7,000-15,000)

    From the site:
Ancient New – With this anthology we’re looking for stories that are a strange collection of ancient and new technology. Perhaps chemistry is highly advanced and rockets are commonplace, but electricity was never invented. Perhaps steam engines exist, but are used to replace horses in chariot battles between archers. The story should have one or two aspects of technology that are wildly more advanced than the rest of the society, and thus affect it in strange ways.

Multiple Submissions – We do not accept multiple submissions.

Length – We are accepting stories ranging from 5,000-15,000 words in length. Longer works will be considered on a case by case basis.

Rights – By submitting the story to the Deepwood Publishing, the writer transfers all print and electronic publication rights to the Deepwood Publishing editorial team. If the work is not chosen for publication, at the time the author is informed of this, all rights revert to the author. If the work is chosen, the author may not republish the story in print or electronic format until one year after the date of publication of the full anthology.

Payment – If the story is chosen for publication, the author will receive compensation at the rate of $0.01 per word, at the time the story is selected.

Contact Information – We can be reached through the @TheFourPartLand Twitter account, or via email at jamestallett AT deepwoodpublishing DOT com. Submissions should be sent to this email address.
